Reports of attacks by a young boy with a bent gold metal bat rise as the members of Japanese society become emotionally cornered.

Detective Mitsuhiro Maniwa and Keiichi Ikari investigate the motive behind the attacks of, the media dubbed, Shōnen Bat(aka Lil Slugger). The attacks started with a young girl by the name of Tsukiko Sagi, a young girl who developed Japanese Icon Maromi. Each attack seems to be affiliated to Tsukiko in some fashion, and the dectives constantly consult her to further gain reason behind the attacks. Shōnen Bat’s attacks continue, despite the efforts of the detectives, and seem to concern emotionally cornered people who otherwise seek various ways to escape reality. Each person who gets attacked has one thing in common, other than Tsukiko affiliation, they are all completely infautated with one of the deadly sins. As each person dives deeper into their own deliemmas and become trapped with whichever obsession they choose, Shōnen Bat appears to give them an escape with the harsh strike of his Metal Bat and a smirk on his face.
